    Telksthe story of Chris Kyle who became the most storied sniper in US military. This is not a war movie (takes place from 2003 to 2008 mostly) but partially during the US operations in Iraq.
    Kyle died, not in the war, but after when a fellow military veteran killed him and a fried. His funeral took place in the stadium in Houston.
    The story deals with life in the war as well as at home with his wife and two kids even with him talking to his wife while he is perched on a roof in Iraq.
    This 4K edition uses the same extras as the Commemorative Edition which as released on Blu-ray as part of a second disc of extras.
    I did found it strange that at the beginning, while filmed in Morocco and taking place in Fallujah, the road the military caravan was on looked like it was just paved. But it is in a war zone.
    Bradley Cooper spent time to add muscles, used Kyle's accent, acted like Kyle, trained with the military veterans and stayed with Kyle's widow and children to get to know him.
    6 Academy nominations including Best Picture and Best Director (Clint Eastwood) but won none.

The emphasis of the movie is not put so much on the heroisism of the "sniper" but on his difficulty to "return to reality" (i.e. home) after his tour(s) in Irak. This gives a rich dimension to the personal life of the main character and especially his interaction with his wife. A must see movie!
