    I just received this birdbath a few days ago and, unfortunately, I did not read the reviews before ordering. The glaze is a "distressed" finish and I don't expect it to hold up. I put the bowl on the base and when I went to turn it to lock it in place, the locking support fell off and down into the base. It didn't break, so I will try to reattach it with adhesive. It is very top heavy with a small base and I am afraid that it will be easily toppled by wind or a squirrel. I broke down the box and Styrofoam packing, so am unable to return it. Very expensive for something that needs immediate repair, can't be left outside in winter and falls apart within a year (per posted pictures by others).

    I purchased this birdbath two summers ago, and as other reviewers have mentioned, it started crumbling when the weather got a little colder and wet.

    I contacted Alpine who requested I send pictures which I did and they promptly responded that they would send me a new one free of charge as soon as their backstock was filled. They said it would be January and sure enough, and late January a box showed up and it was my new birdbath. Well the birdbath is pretty fragile and not really something. You would leave out your round if you have four seasons like we do in Washington state, it’s adorable and the company is amazing. I bring mine in when the weather becomes inclement and leave it on my covered patio and it’s still looks like new. I put it back out in spring (no more threats of freezing weather) and so far so good! I would recommend just make sure you don’t leave it out in winter.
