The epic and highly anticipated conclusion to the listener-favorite series that had countless Audible listeners (and employees) hooked from the very first Bob—featuring, as always, a flawless performance from the inimitable Ray Porter.
Being a sentient spaceship really should be more fun. But after spreading out through space for almost a century, Bob and his clones just can't stay out of trouble.
They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct. But political squabbles have a bad habit of dying hard, and the Brazilian probes are still trying to take out the competition. And the Bobs have picked a fight with an older, more powerful species with a large appetite and a short temper.
Still stinging from getting their collective butts kicked in their first encounter with the Others, the Bobs now face the prospect of a decisive final battle to defend Earth and its colonies. But the Bobs are less disciplined than a herd of cats, and some of the younger copies are more concerned with their own local problems than defeating the Others.
Yet salvation may come from an unlikely source. A couple of eighth-generation Bobs have found something out in deep space. All it will take to save the Earth and perhaps all of humanity is for them to get it to Sol - unless the Others arrive first.

- Reviewed in Canada on July 7, 2023Verified PurchaseI've been thinking about posthumanism for the past 15 years or so... this is the first sci fi author that gets where we are going right. (Except I tink I know how to get around the initial transfer of conciousness from bio to artificial issue. Hint, microbot injections to gradually highjack natural neuron replacement, yay biomimickry) anyway, good stuff.
- Reviewed in Canada on May 8, 2019Verified PurchaseA good book. Reminds me of Larry Niven and Issac Asimov in some ways. A very engaging story. At times there were a lot of characters to keep track of, all came together well. As I said, the series is worth the read. I'm always a bit sad when a book or series I liked is over. I'll be looking for more novels by this author.
- Reviewed in Canada on September 2, 2017Verified PurchaseBobiverse is well written with an interesting premise, that I have not seen before. This writer also ended the series in an excellent manner, a rare and wonderful thing, in a world where most trilogies go on and on and on and on.
- Reviewed in Canada on April 14, 2019Verified PurchaseHeard of the Bobiverse books before but just read all three for the first time. It is such a great read for any sci-fi nerd - and the characters are compelling enough that I could totally see bits of myself in Bob throughout. Great trilogy!
- Reviewed in Canada on August 16, 2021Verified PurchaseIt's been a long while since I couldn't put down a book. It was a very nice find. Well written.

Really love the bobiverse

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent science fi
Verified PurchaseCreative narrative , futuristic setting, technological possibility, just nudging the unreal with enough credible plots and majorly fuels the questions of tech singularity, good over evil, humaneness and I think god (Bob, rhyme much)

5.0 out of 5 stars A jolly romp!
Verified PurchaseThe Fen will either love this series or hate it. I enjoyed all three books and found time to chuckle at all the nods to various authors/movies as well as the cheerfully swiped plot devices. Great literature? Maybe not, but lots of fun.
