This color can be adjusted to be either lighter or darker by incorporating a greater or lesser amount of powder. Once mixed, you may dye up to one pound (dry weight) of fabric.     The white cotton bed flat sheet where the guest slept for one night had a light yellow stain on the neck. The conventional washing process did not remove the stain. I tried to use this product to wash it. I dissolved this product in hot water at about 120 degrees and soaked it for half an hour before washing it in a hot water machine. Although the flat sheet became whiter overall, the light yellow stain was still clearly visible.

The first time I used it I tried the washer method because I had quite a few items I wanted to get stains out of. That didn't work at all. I couldn't even tell you that the shirts were slightly brighter. Next I tried the stove top method and it worked great. I whitened a tank top, a sweatshirt, and a hand towel!
