This remover tool is sooo much easier to use than the little remover I got with my braces kit. It has a long handle so you don't have to get your fingers into your mouth to pull on it. The ring loop helps with leverage on the tray. While they tell you not to use anything pointed you need to have it pointed so you can hook your brace. I just make sure the device is well attached with the inner part of the hook before pulling on it. With the old remover I was starting to get frantic because I couldn't get the top tray out because the end was too fat to hook onto it. It's great to get a number of these removers. I have one in the car, my purse, at my desk. You just never know when you will need to pop out your trays to snack on something, especially around this time of year. It looks just like the picture and came as advertised, sturdy plastic, great buy
