It sounds nice. It looks nice. It feels nice. It is made of metal, it feels sturdy. It feels like I can stand on the thing all day and it be fine. I bought this for at-home use as a sustain pedal for my main MIDI keyboard. Which is also an Alesis. This brand is prices oh so nicely for the equipment they sell. Yeah it takes a bit more 'stepping' force to press/hold down. But I feel that it was designed with the fact that people would like to bring this places with them, maybe even for professional musicians performing at venues where durability is actually a serious factor. But they priced it at the point of other pedals which may 'appear' similar 'looking' in photos, but are actually made of plastic and are good pedals if you never take them out of your home.

Purchased this pedal as an addition to my daughter’s electric piano. She complains that it has a very stiff mechanism and very hard to press. For an adult it will be great, but not for a child. Decided to keep it cause tge price is reasonable and build quality is great.

It's an ON/OFF switch for your foot/fingers that's not bigger than it has to be. (I'm just using it with the Alesis SR18drum machine so I have no input to add regarding the sustain function some may need to know about) The pedal also comes with a small toggle switch in case you want to place it on a music stand or on a table for your fingers. Solid metal coated with grippy durable looking rubber completely covers both sides.
Now if I can just remember to step on it!

Can be used with a Boss looper, which requires a normally closed switch. This is selectable between n/o and n/c. It is heavy duty so you won't break it and feels good under foot. Heavy enough that it doesn't slide around when stepping on it No iffy switching... It works. Good long cord.

After few time’s of use it already malfunctioned. This is just my extra pedal since my other one is kind of big.

Works as it should with our drum machine. Far better built than the Yamaha pedal we use for start stop function.

First impressions: I tried it out on hardwood and it's not really "non-slip" since the entire pedal lifts up from the floor which I find very annoying. I thought I would like the low profile of the pedal but I think I may have to return this. Will test it out further but will most likely return since it came in a box that was wrapped in layers of tape and was clearly used.

This pedal is nice and weighty and looks and feels high quality. The polarity switch is good to have. When I press the switch, my MIDI keyboard sustains. Great stuff.
