- Reviewed in Canada on May 19, 2024I'm an avid crafter, and I'm always looking for new ways to craft. Making my own stamps is something I had never tried before.
There is something quite satisfying about carving away at the rubber. I started by cutting a basic design on my Cricut and adhering it to the rubber square. Then I used my Xacto knife to carve around it to reveal my design (as shown in the photos).
It was more difficult to achieve my design than I expected. I hadn't considered the need to carve on the horizontal - underneath the excess. It wasn't just a matter of tracing out my design, but attempting to level out around it. I was not terribly successful at making it look pretty, but I made the simple stamp work.
As I was attempting this new craft, I did review the information about this product.
Unfortunately, the video included in this product description does NOT match this product. It shows a rubber stamp that has a layer that is removable. This would allow much more detailed carving and a simpler execution.
To be clear, the photos and written description DO match, but the video shows a more desirable product.
I might purchase these again in future, but would be more likely to seek out the product shown in the video.

- Reviewed in Canada on April 29, 2024These are much softer than the stamp blocks I've used before, These have more of a soft eraser quality (they erase like erasers too). They're a good thickness, They are really soft which means they don't require much pressure to carve but you have to be super easy because there is almost no resistance so blades slide through like butter which very easily result in mistakes.
