Decent portable seat/cane for shorter people, some drawbacks

Decent portable seat/cane for shorter people, some drawbacks
This walking cane with fold-down seat is reasonably well constructed and works quite well. That said, the extra legs can be quite cumbersome for every day use, and I would only recommend it for when you anticipate having a need for a chair where there is no other option. Height: at full extension, the cane is about 31" high, which felt a little short for me at 5'7". I looked for other ways to extend the main part of the cane's shaft, but that was as tall as I could go. Seat: The listing says it will support up to 330lbs. Even at a weight of a little more than half that, I was nervous about placing my full weight on the seat, but it did support me, and did not seem like it would give out. However, the recommended seating position is to straddle the upright part of the cane which could be difficult in a skirt or with the kind of mobility issues that lead a person to need a cane in the first place. It also feels very silly - like I'm a little kid riding my horsie. The cushion adds some comfort, but it's not a seat you'll want to hang out on for long. Light: The listing mentions that batteries are not included and there is no information in the listing, instructions or in the battery cavity to say what batteries are needed, how many or how to install them. By trial and error, I managed to make 2 AA batteries work putting the positive end toward the light. Opening the battery cavity requires a tiny philips or flat head screwdriver and pretty steady hands. The light is bright and tilts to light up futher ahead or closer to where the cane is placed. Overall, for an cane of this design, this is a good quality option, but the design itself comes with limitations.

I recently picked up this folding cane with a seat for my elderly parent, and it's been a helpful addition to our outings. Living in a town where November chill means longer walks can get tiring for them, especially when we're out running errands or visiting the park. This cane offers a stable seat for quick breaks, which they've already loved a few times while waiting in line or taking a breather during a walk. The magnetic massage handle is a nice touch - it's comfortable to grip and adds a bit of relief for their hands. However, the LED light requires a separate battery, which I found a bit inconvenient, especially since it's getting darker earlier now. For others considering this, I'd suggest testing the height adjustment beforehand to ensure it fits well. It's lightweight and folds neatly, but I'd like to see better cushioning for the seat - it feels a bit firm for longer rests.

I ordered one of these as I have problems walking for long distances due to back issues. Went to the mall with my mom and it was so helpful. I never had to search for a place to sit. I could sit close by to window shop or have a coffee. Worth every penny. I like that it has a light because when I walk home from the bus stop it's dark down the side of my house, this helps light the way.

This is a nice cane. The only things I don't like about it are that it can't stand on its own and I am just below by 20 pounds the weight limit and I feel it's a little flimsy. I worry it may break under me. I suggest it is better for those under 200 pounds for sitting. I only use it for sitting when I have to queue in line for more than 10 or 20 minutes. I have sat on it 3 times but for no more than 15- 25 minutes per time max. It's a bit unladylike to straddle but okay in pants.
