I recently upgraded the radio in a Jeep Wrangler with this Android 12 system and I have to say it really changed the driving experience for the better. The interface is smooth and responsive thanks to the Android 13 operating system and the 2GB RAM feels just right for everyday use. Connecting to Wi-Fi lets me easily download apps and browse the web right from the screen which is way more convenient than I expected.

The built-in GPS is a solid feature. It comes with offline maps for North America so I’m never lost even without an internet connection. When I’m online, the navigation feels fast and reliable. I also like how easy it is to install or remove apps just like on a regular smartphone.

Bluetooth calling works really well too. The microphone picks up my voice clearly and the audio from the other side is crisp through the car speakers. It’s great being able to take calls hands-free while keeping my focus on the road. Playing music and controlling apps wirelessly is simple and hassle-free.

What I appreciate most is the wireless CarPlay and Android Auto support. Pairing my iPhone takes seconds and from there I can use voice commands or the touchscreen to get directions, send messages, make calls, or listen to music. It’s a smarter and safer way to stay connected during drives and it really keeps things enjoyable without distraction.

Overall, this radio upgrade fits perfectly with a Jeep and delivers all the modern features I wanted without any headaches. It’s a great option if you want a seamless, tech-friendly setup in your vehicle.

I threw into my 2014 Wrangler not even a week ago ago and it’s been mostly awesome. The 9 inch screen feels huge compared to the old unit and Android 12 runs pretty smoothly, apps like Spotify and YouTube load without too much waiting once I hop on WiFi hotspot from my phone GPS worked well even before I updated maps over the car’s WiFi.
Bluetooth calling is clear thanks to the built in mic and my music streams without skipping. I love that I can go wireless with CarPlay in my iPhone or plug in on days when I want a wired connection. Android Auto with my GFs phone works solidly too. Switching between calls, maps, and music on the touchscreen is easier than fumbling with my phone while driving.
Backup camera support is handy for tight spots in the city, though I wish the camera angle was a bit wider. Installing it was. AHUGE PAIN IN THE TUSH and would ONLY recommend professional installation or a buddy who knows what hes doing, it took us almost 3hrs....
My only real gripe is that sometimes the interface lags a bit when jumping between menus or opening heavier apps. It’s not constant but enough that I noticed it. Still, for the price and ease of use this thing brings modern tech to an older Jeep really well. I’d recommend it.
