Useful tool
This OBD2 scanner is fine tool, especially for beginners and intermediate home mechanics. I used it on my Civic to check and It does a lot, from live data monitoring to I/M readiness checks, O2 sensor tests, and even EVAP system diagnostics. It is super handy for car enthusiasts and really helps detect hidden problems before they get worse. Definitely a useful tool to have!

    This little scanner blew me away! I chose this to avoid an expensive diagnostic fee for the dreaded "check engine" warning. It quickly showed me the code, helped me identify the problem, and allowed me to clear it. It’s a surprisingly useful tool. Every detail, from the careful packaging to the high performance, was impressive. The craftsmanship is exceptional. It’s incredibly useful and has made a real difference for me.

    I’m definitely not a mechanic, but with three kids and two vehicles, having something like this OBD2 scanner on hand has actually been a game-changer. We had a warning light pop up on our older vehicle, and instead of heading straight to the shop and bracing for bad news, I plugged this in and got answers right away. It gave me a code, told me what it meant in plain language, and even let me clear it once the issue was dealt with.

    I liked that I didn’t need to fuss with my phone or download sketchy apps. Just plug it in, turn the key, and it’s working. The screen is easy to read, and it gives a surprising amount of info—like live data (coolant temp, RPM, all that stuff I didn’t think I’d care about but actually found helpful when our car was acting up). I even used it on my brother’s car and felt oddly proud when I figured out his issue too.

    My only real complaint is the instructions. They’re... not great. If you’ve never used a code reader before, you’ll probably end up Googling a few things or watching a YouTube video to get your bearings. Once you do, though, it’s smooth sailing.

    Bottom line: I like knowing what’s going on with our cars before paying someone else to tell me. This little gadget paid for itself the first time I used it.

    I selected this scanner because my truck had a check engine light come on, and I wanted to avoid an expensive diagnostic fee. This little tool was fantastic! It immediately showed me the code, and I was able to find the problem and get it sorted. Being able to clear the code afterwards was such a relief. It's a surprisingly valuable tool.

    Plugged it into my Rav4 and it seemed to be able to find all the codes and other diagnostic info fine. But I have to say I didn't find it the most user friendly. I think it's the limitations of the interface and the amount of information being displayed.

    I think this is fantastic for a more serious enthusiast who wants to dig into the details, but for someone just wondering what a code means a bluetooth module and a phone app is a bit easier to understand.

    I like doing basic car maintenance myself, so having an OBD2 scanner is a must. I recently picked up the AUTOPHIX OM126Plus+, and it's quickly become one of the most helpful tools in my garage.

    Setup is a breeze. I just plugged it into my 2012 Toyota Corolla, turned the ignition on, and it was ready to go—no phone apps or Bluetooth needed. It read my check engine light code in seconds and even explained it in plain English.

    Live data monitoring is a standout feature. I could track things like RPM, MAF, and coolant temp in real time, which helped me figure out a stalling issue. I also used it on my brother’s car to clear a sensor fault, and it worked great.

    The I/M readiness test was super helpful before my emissions check. It gave a clear status using color indicators, letting me know my car was ready.

    It's not perfect—the menu could be more user-friendly, and the manual isn’t the best. A quick-start guide or video would help beginners a lot. But the scanner itself is solid, portable, and even comes with a waterproof pouch. It connects fast and responds quickly to button presses.

    Bottom line: If you're a DIYer or just want to understand your car better, the OM126Plus+ is a reliable, no-frills tool that gets the job done. It’s a great value for the price.

    Good quality OBD2 reader, excellent choice for home use or as a secondary unit for a professional due to its compact size.

    This unit exceeds the functionality of the basic units allowing you to read many of the OEM specific codes.

    The casing is durable and the cable quality is good. The display is clear and easy to read.

    This unit lacks some of the enhanced features of high end units, but this is reflect in the price range. For most people this tool will do everything you need from an OND2 reader and should stand up to years of use.

    Overall Verdict?

    Good quality unit with all the key features and support. I recommend this product.

    Great reader. Convenient. Easy to find (orange).

    Maybe 10 years ago, these readers cost close to a hundred dollars.

    Very affordable and useful to have, especially once your warranty runs out. It’s nice to know what your engine light is on for before taking it to the shop, you’ll know if you have an honest mechanic.

    I also have a reader that is the size of a phone charger cube and connects to a phone app. Thats also very nice, but then you have sketchy apps on your device and need your phone. This reader is stand alone and nothing else is needed. So it’s also nice in it’s own way.
