The screen itself is plug and play into your standard 12v cigarette lighter. The camera itself is wireless so you don't have to run any long wires between the display and the actual camera. The camera gets tapped into your rear brake lights, therefore when you are in Reverse, the camera automatically activates. Overall it was a solid buy. Starting with the installation procedure, this high quality camera was so easy to mounted to our RV trailer. Once all the mounting brackets are attached to the camera, installation is simply taking off the Furrion mounting cover, plugging in the adapter plug to the jack on the RV trailer, and making final adjustments to the mounting brackets to position the camera, and mounting the camera in place of the removed mounting cover. Installation of the monitor inside the tow vehicle is super easy. Simply mount the monitor bracket on the dash, plug in the power cord and its done. The wide angle image quality of the monitor is absolutely fantastic. Step one on the options menu is pairing the camera to the monitor. Pick a channel and pair the camera. If you you have a second camera, you can repeat the process on another channel. You can then use either camera or both on a split screen. After the monitor is paired to the camera, you can set the brightness and contrast controls from the monitor. Second menu option is the M/U which controls the camera orientation, normal or upside down. Next menu item for control provides guide lines to help in backing up the RV. And if you are late in arriving to the campsite, you can safely navigate using the automatic night vision function. The waterproof and heat resistant construction, coupled with the 18 month warranty and lifetime support is an unbeatable deal.

If you are looking for a backup camera for your RV, this is the one! The quality of the product is evident right from the time you open the box. It came well packaged and the monitor was padded and protected. There are easy to understand directions and all the cables and mounting hardware you need for an easy install. The 7" monitor is just the right size for my truck's dash. It's big and bright enough to provide a beautifully clear picture without taking up too much space. Follow the directions to power up and test the camera and monitor before your install. No worries about pairing the monitor with the camera, it will automatically go live. The camera provides great color during the daytime and a clear black/white image at night. (It is able to run 2 cameras and you can buy another camera separately if you want to run two).
