It also includes a built-in answering machine and audio assist button so you can turn up the volume during conversations. The tilt display allows you to select the angle of the screen for easy viewing. Audio Assist button allows for extra volume capacity during conversations, making those hard to head conversations easier to understand. Store you favorites with a 25 name/number phonebook directory. A separate 50 name/number caller ID history is also stored in memory, showing you the recent history of all incoming calls and letting you redial any of them with the touch of a button. You can control and set both the ringer and handset volume levels to your preferred levels. 10 number speed allows you to call the most used numbers with the touch of a button. English/Spanish/French selectable menu languages allow you to use the phone in the language you prefer. The CL4940-BK is either Table or Wall mountable, hardware included. Hearing aid compatible handset speaker for comfortable use. Supports caller ID and call waiting capability (requires subscription with your telephone provided), The built in Digital answering system can record up to 25 minutes of messages, and applies a Time/Day Stamp to each one, or you can turn off the Answering Machine altogether, as you prefer. Audible Message Alert lets you know when a new message is left. Message Guard Memory saves the messages even in a power failure. Memo Recording lets you record a memo to remind yourself or an important event or number.

A corded telephone featuring a large tilt display, digital answering system and extra-large buttons, the CL4940BK makes dialing, receiving and reviewing calls easier than ever. The phone's extra-loud ring and visual-indication features for incoming calls help ensure you won't miss a single ring. Hard-to-hear calls can be given a boost with its Audio Assist feature, which temporarily increases volume and frequency to make speech easier to understand. Plus, the base speakerphone makes hands-free communication easy.

The telephone also features a 25 name and number phonebook directory, and a 10-number speed dial, allowing you to quickly place calls using only a few buttons. Stay organized with the time/date stamp on the digital answering system, which announces the time and day each message was recorded before playback. Up to 25 minutes of recording time allows you to save or receive messages without worry they'll be cut off.
