ANCEL VD500Pro is specially designed for the diagnosis of VAG vehicles.

ANCEL VD500PRO supports all VAG vehicles with 16PIN OBD2 connectors. It can read the corresponding fault codes and turn off the engine light after troubleshooting the vehicle.

Manuals, upgrade files, EPB reset, etc. can be found in the Product guides and documents location.

ANCEL VD500PRO is suitable for FULL system diagnostics of VAG vehicles.

Note: 1. this product has a certain operation process. Please read the manual carefully before use, otherwise the connection may fail.

How to get started?

Key operation: 1.Turn the ignition on without starting the car; 2.Start the car; 3.Do not connect OBD and USB cables at the same time！

Keyless operation: 1. press start button - press again (do not press brake pedal) - insert tool and read; 2. press brake pedal and start button.

  • For 16 pin Non VW vehicle sold in US after 1996, the VD500Pro can read and clear fault codes, display fault code definitions, turn off the CEL (engine light) and retrieve VIN information ONLY. Meanwhile, it can do more systems on your VW vehicle.

  • After the software upgrade, VD500 and VD500pro currently have no difference in performance and functionality. It was previously sold separately because the two products use different chips, so the update methods are also different.

  • In addition to hardware upgrades, the VD700PRO can do 9 more high-level reset functions than the VD500PRO. Meanwhile, it also have OBD 6 modes for OBDII vehicles(VD500PRO have OBD 3 modes, 3 reset: Oil Service, Throttle Position Adaption, EPB reset).

It is also able to work with vehicles manufactured in 2002 or later and that are OBD II compliant such as light trucks (non electric) with 12V, 16-Pin protocols J1850 VPM, J1850PWM, ISO9141, KWP 2000 and CAN. For VAG vehicles, the code reader can perform various different tasks. It will read and erase codes on engine, ABS, Transmission, SAS (not all cars), ESP, TPMS and other systems. Additionally, it will also reset the oil, brake pad and throttle position adaption. Our OBD2 code reader is also compliant with other OBD II vehicles and is able to display reading/erasing error codes, turning off the MIL (check engine light) and retrieving VIN information.
