Un excellent outil. Je l'utilise surtout pour préparer et transférer les données d'un vieux disque à un nouveau (plus de capacité). Le vieux reste dans l'ordinateur, le nouveau se connecte par le port USB avec cet outil. Une fois tout fait (préparation du nouveau disque transfert des données, etc.), j'échange les disques et le tour est joué.

Même si vous l'utilisez qu'une fois, c'est un excellent achat.

I was able to connect several old style hard-drives and get my pictures back.
Very simple to use however I suggest powering up the hard-drive before adding the adapter and finally plugging in the USB for best results if not using the SATA cable part.
If I plug in the adapter before turning the power on my computer would sometimes not see the drive. Sata worked fine every time.
This was a good buy for me.

Edit , The power adapter failed the 3rd time I tried to use it. As it was still in the return period it went back to amazon.

The good, the product does work with both 3.5" and 2.5" drives. Comes with all the cables you would need to power and hook up to the USB port of your computer. Downside is it's USB 2.0 so slower transfer speeds but it's well labelled and was expected when buying. I've had no issues with 2.5" drives so far, however 3.5" drives seem to be a bit finicky. When plugging the power brick into the drive there are times where the power brick's light will be flashing on and off and seem to not be powering the drive (regardless of what position the power switch on the cable is in). Unplugging and trying a few times and eventually it will seems to work. Bought for the odd job so it will be fine for my purposes however if you were to want to use it on a regular basis I would probably recommend a different one to save the headaches.

For most of the drives connected it worked perfectly. Some SATA3 2.5" drives were not powered correctly, the green LED on the power brick would just blink slowly when connected to the drives. When I hooked these drives up to a PC power supply SATA style power they would work, Not sure what the problem was but got all the data off them in the end. Some of the really old IDE drives took a long time to spin up to speed, so I found it worked better to connect power first, wait a minute then connect the USB to the main PC. Using this adaptor on the 25+ old drives I was trying to archive was much easier then trying to install them into a computer. Before this adaptor I would install the drive into a computer, boot the computer and then transfer the data to the data drive, shut down and repeat. This adaptor made the task just connect the drive while it was on the bench, plug in USB, get data, unplug USB, disconnect cables, then start on next drive. No rebooting, no searching for IDE or PATA cables, so shutting down computer. Just plug in and unplug USB.
Very happy with all the time saved using this adaptor.
