As far as I can tell, this does what it is supposed to do. My hair is easier to comb and tangles less. I like the thick cream texture and as I don't shampoo daily it will last me a long time. The fragrance unfortunately seems to be identical to an air freshener used in porta-potties though. It does dissipate after a few minutes but it's a bit off putting.
