This is a fun lens, but it's not perfect. It's pretty sharp in the middle, but the corners are soft until you hit about f8. It's a lot sharper at F11 across the lens. From F3.5 to F7 ish, you get a gnarly vignette from the lens. By F8 the vignette is better controlled. It is slightly wider than the kit lens, and you can tell a difference. I found the color and contrast from the lens pleasing, and it plays well with the film simulation modes. It seemed to handle flaring just fine This feels more like a artistic mood lens over a clinically correct lens, and because of that I enjoy it. It's got character. I did put it up against a lens test chart, and yeah, it didn't do too well. Vignetting, bad corners, etc until you step down, but the center was noticeably sharper over the edges. The lens handles flaring quite well.

There's a sample image of Zelda, Baragon (The most adorable monster in Godzilla) and Link in a row shot with a studio strobe at F4.0, they are all on the same plane and you can see how soft Zelda and Link's features are compared to Baragon.

I do love how it looks on the XM-5, it looks like a natural part to the camera. It's super small also and makes the whole camera feel like a pocketable powerhouse. Autofocus is quick and accurate, and changing aperture via the aperture ring is smooth, or you can just put it on auto and use the back control.

The lens is nice in video also. Some of the vignetting that's an issue in photo goes away with in body stabilization, in body crop, and also the top edges going away in 16:9 mode. I found the lens has a pleasant nice wide coverage for vlogging type shots. Vloggers might like it a lot of they don't mind the 3.5 aperture to start. It does have a lens hood that has a filter thread on it. I believe it will allow you to use 58mm filters on it. Sorry I didn't have any on me while testing.

The construction of the lens is solid. All metal, even the hood is metal. There's not much to it other than the body, and a nice focus wheel that has smooth turning, and the aperture wheel. There's no switches or anything else on it.

For the price, it's a fun lens. It's far from perfect, but it's a fun artsy lens for the price. I WOULD NOT get this for professional architectural type work.

This lens has a really appealing mix of compact size, practical focal length, and solid build quality. It’s made almost entirely of metal and feels well put together, which isn’t always the case at this price. It’s small enough that I’d almost call it a pancake lens, and the addition of a physical aperture ring is a nice touch. The ring clicks in 1/3 stop increments and turns smoothly, but I do wish it locked more firmly into the “A” (auto) position. It’s easy to knock it out of place by accident.

Focusing is smooth, and autofocus worked reliably for me in most situations. There is some focus breathing, but that’s pretty expected here. In terms of sharpness, the center holds up well, though the edges tend to stay soft even when stopped down. That said, I’m not obsessed with edge-to-edge sharpness. I care more about subject and composition, and this lens still delivers pleasing results overall.

I took it with me on a day trip to Key West and shot a good variety of scenes with it. The 14mm focal length (21mm equivalent on APS-C) is great for wide-angle work, landscapes, street scenes, even casual vlogging. Just keep in mind there’s no image stabilization, so pairing it with a body that has IBIS is ideal. I used it with only electronic stabilization and didn’t get great results.

The biggest issue I ran into was the vignetting. It’s quite heavy and sticks around even at narrower apertures like f/8. In the photos I posted, I removed the vignetting in Lightroom, but out of camera it’s definitely noticeable. It’s the main reason I’m not giving the lens a higher rating. The bokeh can also be a little harsh, though that’s less of a concern for a lens like this.

For $129, though, it’s hard to complain too much, and it does offer very good value, for a unique focal length, and very portable lens. It’s compact, capable, and has some charm. I’d love to see TTArtisan release an updated version that addresses the vignetting and maybe offers a brighter aperture. If they did, I think it could really stand out.

This lens would be the equivalent of a 21 mm. full-frame lens. It is compact and very lightweight, made of mostly plastic. There is an include lens hood, which is a nice touch--one complaint is that the lens hood is screw-in, and when in use, the lens cap cannot be used. The rear lens cover has contacts that match the lens and a USB-C for future firmware updates.
The lens is much slower than the competing Viltrox 13 mm. F/1.4, but it is also much smaller and lighter.
I took a dozen or so test shots on a Fuji X-E4 this morning. Color rendition seems to be pretty accurate. Autofocus is fairly quick and seems reliable.
Sharpness when viewed full-screen on my 17" (diagonal) laptop was good; the lens should be quite adequate for picture printing (guessing up to 8x10) and for vlogging. I didn't pixel peep, but sharpness did suffer when pictures were enlarged on my screen--still, this is a $129 lens, and I didn't expect amazing sharpness for the price.
For the cost, this is a great lens if you're not needing a 14 mm. lens for demanding work or if it's a length you won't use much and don't want to invest in a more expensive lens.

These images are unedited from a Fujifilm X-T20. The only issue I had was at mid-day shooting the metallic black paint on a car, I got flaring. But I'm still very happy with this lens, and I intend to use it regularly.

It is compact, so using it as a prime lens for street shooting makes the camera much more portable (and more likely to be toted along, instead of left home in favor your your phone camera.) The build quality is great--it feels solid in your hand. And on a bright day, you get great images. I included one shot indoors to demonstrate that it works great there, too. These images are unedited from a Fujifilm X-T20. The only issue I had was at mid-day shooting the metallic black paint on a car, I got flaring. But I'm still very happy with this lens, and I intend to use it regularly.
