The internal-bias thermistor prevents the dryer from overheating by monitoring and controlling the temperature of the inside of the dryer drum. It is located on the blower housing, next to the thermal fuse

The fuse is a fail-safe that stops the electricity to the heating system when a dryer overheats. This fuse self-destructs and cannot be reset, it must be replaced when there is no continuity between the terminals.
