The Klein Tools 80154 Cable Stapler Set includes the Loose Cable Stapler with two packs of 300 Insulated Staples (150 x 5/16-Inch and 150 x 11/32-Inch per pack). Drive Insulated Staples (Cat. No. 450-006) for Voice, Data, Video, NM (Romex) nonmetallic sheathed cable with one hand. The Loose Cable Stapler (Cat. No. 450-100) is designed to push the handle, rather than squeeze, for easy, consistent performance. Each pack of staples features 150 staples to secure CAT3/5e and CAT6/6A data cables up to 5/16-Inch (8 mm) in width. The other 150 staples secure NM (Romex) cable gauges 14/3, 14/3G, 12/3 and other wire up to 11/32-Inch x 19/32-Inch (9 x 15 mm) in size.

    This is the second time I bought the same item but with two different seller. I find the stapler now working or you have to force back so that the stapler will engage. So I had to manually engage the lever handle back otherwise you will think it is broken.

    I was thinking this is a "Klein" tool.... must be good quality. I guess the quality is fine.... I mean is hasn't fallen apart. Just the design isn't good. It flat out doesn't work most of the time. Staples get jammed all the time. Even when it does work, the staples only go in half way and you need to hammer them in the rest of the way. Would not recommend at all.

    This speeds up efficiency, but the design is super awkward to use in certain positions. It does not always seat the staples as I would like, and the actual staples are so thin, that they do not inspire confidence with their holding power.
    I will go back to the proper wire staples.

    Kept thinking I was doing something wrong when using single wire insulated staples that came with this gun. Double worked pretty well. Single one, on the other hand, have pierced my ethernet wiring in many, many places, despite my efforts to look at the placement and carefully align. To be clear, I have pierced multiple cables using this tool. I hoped to run one single cable (in one instance of my many runs), but now I have to either re-run the whole thing or try to repair and couple. Both scenarios are hugely disappointing. I expended much extra money to buy this gun along with other accessories to enhance my ability to create a professional appearing final product.
    I keep playing with this gun to try to make it work with single cable and since I have no choice will continue. I will have to make a modification to the channel. I love the design, concept, and ease of use, but ultimately the design causes failure of this product.
    UPDATE: I previously removed the two screws holding the slide on the front of the unit. Because it wouldn't move. I reinstalled the slide, and using more force, made it move. after use it slides easier. When you switch to the single cable channel, the installed slide focuses the channel in the staple gun that feeds the staples. I haven't used it since changing it, but I'm certain my issue was created by me. I really like Klein Tools.

    The best thing at first with this stapler is that it had the Klein logo on it. The worst thing about this stapler is that it is the Klein logo on it. I’m surprised Klein would put their great reputation on the line with a product this poorly made. It was a difficult decision whether to return this item or to smash it into 20 pieces and get some satisfaction for the time it wasted. I used 12/2 and 14/2, but nothing larger. I held it flat. I didn’t oil it. I did oil it. Nothing would keep it from jamming.

    It works great. If you find yourself shooting the staples directly into the cable, you need to adjust the stapler for the staple size you are using - twist the black knob, and pull down the front metal guard. These keep the staples centered.
