    Maybe I got some defective ones and was unlucky. Maybe these tubes are more delicate then other ones as I have never had this happen when installing a new bike tire tube.

    Installed one tube in the evening, rim and tire were both clear. Next morning the tire was flat. There was a puncture near the rim. Removed it and checked along the rim again, nothing was present that I could find to puncture it. While installing the second one, as I was putting the tire back into the rim the second one punctured, I assume the blunt end of tire lever punctured it somehow.
