Shorter length than original for Poulan Pro PR160Y21RPC lawn mower
Purchased this to replace the self propel mechanism cable for a lawn mower by Poulan Pro, model : PR160Y21RPC Cable item number on old one was 94653 and this one seems to say it is compatible. Got it today and installed it. Unfortunately, it is around an inch shorter. This items description says Conduit Length 55", Overall Length 67". I am not sure which is for the black part of the cable and which one is for the inner braided cable. The black bracket that snaps into a hole on the lawn mower handle was about 1 to 1.5 away, so if conduit length is 55 inch, then I would say the black part of the cable that you need for the Poulan Pro is 56 or 56.5 inches. I for now just used a plastic twine to tie it as I will need some slack when I fold the handle down and did not want to go the route of drilling a new hole in the lawn mower's metal handle bar. I read other reviewers run into the same issue, so beware. Unfortunately no other store in Canada was selling this cable, so had to go with the hack.
