- Reviewed in Canada on July 6, 2020Verified PurchaseWhen our oven lights broke we managed without them for quite a while, due the cost of replacing them. The price on these bulbs were less than half of what was quoted to us elsewhere! We just assumed it will last a month or maybe two, if we were lucky, so we purchased more than we actually needed. It is now 7 months later and they are still working great. The light shines brightly when we open the oven door and it great value for what we paid!
- Reviewed in Canada on June 17, 2020Verified PurchaseThe price was very fair as well as on-time delivery as usual, however the bulb did not work for me. I double checked my under the kitchen halogen lights requirements; it is G8 pins T4 which are described in Anyray A1700Y bulbs include. I am not sure why they did not work.

- Reviewed in Canada on August 26, 2020Verified PurchaseI don't usually write reviews. If something is crappy, I don't buy it again. But this is different. This is a safety issue.
I have six cabinet puck-style lights in my kitchen, two of which are mounted at the top of the cupboards, on the inside, and four of which are under the cabinets. They are 120v, 20w with a G8 base.
I looked for replacement bulbs locally in stores but they were difficult to find. When I did find them they were exceptionally expensive. So naturally I was happy to find these ones for a fraction of the price and figured “how bad could they be?” I rationalized that since they are bulbs, there are probably safety standards that need to be followed in their manufacturing / approval. Guess I was wrong.
I installed three of these bulbs and was happy with the light quality. After a few weeks, I noticed that the bottom of the cupboards were warm to the touch. I noticed it but thought I simply hadn't noticed it before.
Last night, I heard what sounded like a gunshot from the kitchen and everyone jumped six feet in the air. Turns out one of the bulbs exploded. The exploding bulb sent molten metal specs all over, some of which I cannot pick out of the ceramic tile backsplash. I’ve never seen a bulb blow up like this. Halogen lights usually just stop working or there is a little pop. The fixture looks completely melted and burnt.
At first I thought it was maybe one faulty bulb, but then I checked all the fixtures. Each fixture where I installed these replacement bulbs are completely melted and burnt. There is a ring that holds in a diffuser glass and on one of them, the ring melted and the glass fell out. I hadn't noticed it until I this happened.
I can confirm 100% that the specs are correct. The housings are stamped “120v 20w g8 only” and the same exact specs are printed on each bulb.
Conclusion? These definitely run way hotter than they should. And it’s not just one random one from the pack, it’s the three I installed from the pack. Buy at your own risk. If it's not a closed fixture with a cover, maybe it won't be as bad.
EDIT: I figured out what is wrong with them. Once the bulb is lit, the filament sags and touches the glass casing of the bulb. The glass then gets extremely hot. That's why one of them exploded. It's also why there is so much heat emitted. I've added two pictures of a bulb that is STILL working. Notice how the filament is stuck to the glass.
