I enjoyed doing the assembly in general. It helped to have the pieces labeled where they go on the connecting pieces whether by color symbols or by the numbers. The puzzle was mostly grey which can be intimidating and there were pieces I had installed backswords and had flip them around mostly when doing the support strips between the bottom and top hull pieces at the beginning when connecting the large panels for the length of the puzzle.

The most difficult was installing the panel pieces that were large. Trying to line up the tabs were difficult and a lot of my tabs were bent when trying to assemble previous sections. The engines were also difficult for me and I had glue the pieces as the small circle pieces with the locking tabs are so tiny they bent easily.

Lastly I could not do the two shield generator domes at the top of the puzzle. They were so small and broke easily. The puzzle looks good without the two generators at the top of the bridge though.

I use a hot craft glue gun with the glue sticks during the whole assembly as the glue is quick to try when applied. The downside is it leaves strings of residue I need remove and some parts of the puzzle have glue blobs but helps keep the puzzle together. I also put lot glue on the tabs and when doing the flat panels for the decoration at the top of the hull.

Overall was a good build I likely only will do the once. It was challenging for a 39 year old but I managed but not perfect.

Be great if the stand had tabs that interlock on the bottom of the puzzle instead of just having the ship sit on it loosely. Have it off the stand as taking it to room basement for display.

Attaching some close up pictures where can see the glue and the top of bridge where I am missing the shield generator domes.

Absolute 5-stars!!!

These sets are genuinely the best. They are very easy to assemble and look awesome when on display. Currently I have the Star Destroyer and the Venator side-by-side hung up by fishing like and they look magnificent. I also have the Death Star, X-Wing, Millennium Falcon, R2-D2, and Tie Fighter too and they all look super detailed.

I didn’t have to use glue for any of them and found that they hold up really well on their own. The assembly process can take some time but it’s very fun and for how cheap these sets are they are genuinely the best Star Wars decoration apart from the LEGO sets. HIGHLY recommend these to anyone who like model-making and might not want to shell out hundreds for the Lego sets.

But if I had to pick the hardest part, it would be the 2 shield generators.
Now the bad. I have since ordered 5 other kits. Dam you 4D! The Imperial light cruiser, Standard tie fighter, Vader's tie advanced, Tie interceptor, T65 Xwing.
Overall these kits are truly amazing. Excellent detail. Great size (although I wish the capital ships where to scale to each other). And a GREAT time building it. I'd love to see some other genre. Star trek. Battlestar. Babylon 5. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE KITS
