Product description
Why Single Source Maple Syrup is Better
47° North is one of a very few maple products that is produced in Canada from a single source of maple sap. We tap our own trees and then produce and bottle all maple syrup on site at our packaging facility. This stewardship from the forest to your table is why 47° North maple products are the better choice.
Our maple syrup is never blended with syrups from other maple stands providing a consistency and quality of an estate bottled maple syrup that other bottlers simply cannot match. The difference is in the taste, 47°North amber maple syrup feature the terroir of the Miramichi uplands soil in central New Brunswick that imparts delicate notes of caramel and vanilla.
About Us
47° North premium, organic and all-natural maple products are produced in New Brunswick, Canada.
Our name is inspired by the latitude of our South Ridge Maple farm deep in the wilderness of this province. The terroir, characterized by the interplay between the ancient Appalachians and the sprawling Acadian forest, provides the sweetest maple sap in Canada. 47° North maple syrups are certified organic by ECOCERT Canada with no added sugars, so all our customers can enjoy nature’s natural sweeteners that we sometimes find ourselves taking for granted.
Carbon Neutral Production
Committed to reducing the carbon footprint of our operations, 47°North maple sap is collected with gravity fed lines to minimize energy use. Traditional oil-fired evaporators have been replaced with high efficiency concentrating filters and a modern wood pellet burning steam evaporator. The wood pellets used to fire the evaporator are sourced from waste wood and sawdust from a local mill, producing almost zero net GHG emissions.
