First, it’s important to note that these utensils are shaped for a right handed user! These utensils are fixed in place, which means you cannot adjust them to be usable by right or left handed users, you would need two sets. I don’t see this as a downside because this helps ensure that the utensils are solidly made, and perfectly shaped to be easily used by individuals with dexterity or fine motor limitations. Speaking of solidly made, the metal part of these utensils is not easily to warp during use, and in my experience they have been secured into the handle in a manner that prevents flex or motion. I don’t have any concerns that these handles will disconnect from the metal!

This is a complete utensil set and conveniently comes with everything you need including 1 knife, 1 fork, 1 teaspoon and 1 tablespoon. All utensils come shaped in a bend to the left, except for the knife. This shape is purposeful, and helps those who have difficulties with strength, flexibility, fine motor, grasp, or shakiness. Compared to other adaptive utensils I have handled, I found these ones to be on the lighter side in terms of weight. Having a little bit of weight is an important feature that would help with grasp. If this is a very important feature for you, these may not be the right utensil set for your situation. These utensils do have thickened and rounded handles allowing them to fit more naturally into your hand compared to the thin and flat handles of your typical utensil. I find that the handles have an “ok” amount of grip with their non-slip texture, and it should be sufficient for most users. The handles also feature a hole through their ends, which I find useful for storage. The shape and size of these utensils makes them a bit awkward to fit in a drawer utensil holder; but the hole allows them to be easily hung from a hook. E

I will wrap it all up by saying that the utensils are dishwasher safe, making them easy to clean just as any other utensil!

This "HsayUna" 4 pc set of Adaptive Utensils caught my attention when I came across the listing. We have become the primary caregivers for our 93 year old Mom who has been having more challenging issues of late. I was hoping this product could be of some benefit to her as she now has a harder time of manipulating standard type forks and spoons and this had become frustrating for her.

The product comes in generic packaging with little excess. It was well protected for shipping and mine arrived in good condition. I was struck by how robust all of these felt on first handling. They make use of good quality steel and the silicone handles provide for very positive grip with the various contours and ribbing. I appreciate that the handles have a sort of oval shape rather than being fully rounded. This design seems to help Mom with her grasp and she says she finds it comfortable. The angled ends are what originally caught my eye, and this does in fact aid in Mom being able to more easily guide the food to her mouth. She has lost a lot of the dexterity in her hands and ability to grip properly due to arthritis. I had noticed that she was holding our regular utensils straight out and having a hard time of things. This angled idea of this set has really helped.

In the end, I am pleased with this HsayUna Set and Mom likes it, which is the most important verdict! They are well made and this is a thoughtful design in my opinion. I just want to note that there was a very slight scent on the new silicone handle grips when first unpackaged but this has dissipated after washing. Which brings me to confirm that these do appear to be dishwasher safe and easy to maintain. I certainly feel this set is worth considering. It may not be for everyone, but I have found it to be a very useful aid for our Mom.

These utensils are great for shaky hands, they help keep the silverware steady and controlled so that you can actually eat food. You get one of each, a knife, fork, and the two different sized spoons. That is really all that is needed as they get washed in between meals.
The quality of these silverwares is pretty nice and I would highly recommend.

This set of adaptive cutlery from 'HsayUna' is meant for persons who have difficulty in using regular spoon, fork and knife. I experienced the needs for adaptive cutlery after I saw a friend in recovery from a mild stroke. The adaptive cutlery provide for extra grip in the handle and are angled for easy access to the mouth.
This set of adaptive cutlery are well thought out, with each handle, made with silicone, designed to be gripped with weak fingers and hand. The 'working part' of the cutlery is stainless steel, with the spoons and fork angled for easier reach of the mouth.

Good chunky grips and solid build that make them easy to use for someone with low motor coordination.
