I've been using the same 3M half mask for about a decade now. It came in pretty handy when the pandemic hit. But when I was preparing to renovate a house, I decided to up my protection game. While the half-mask provided perfect protection from inhaling particles or chemicals, I was afraid that the glasses won't protect my eyes from all the dust lingering in the air. And I didn't think using goggles with the half mask would have been comfortable.
Enter the 3M 6900. Price was a bit steep, but given how long 3M masks last, I decided to invest in the future. At first, I felt a bit stupid putting it on while the contractors were working without any respiration or eye protection. But I got used to it. And I didn't have to stop to cough up dirt every 10-20 minutes.
It's very easy to adjust, basically one motion. Very easy to take off. Nowadays instead of grabbing a pair of protective glasses for small tasks, I just grab the respirator. Gives great field of vision, protects from particles coming from every angle. Yesterday I spent three hours non stop breaking down concrete at hard to reach spots with a hammer-drill. I sweat through my pants, my shirt and hoodie, but no fogging on the mask. There was a lot of condensation, but loosening the mask it was easy to drain it.
I recommend it to anyone working in a dusty environment. The only problem is communication. Especially with my accent. But when a jackhammer is running, that's impossible anyways.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 26, 2023Verified Purchasethis mask has been an eye saver many times over. It is used for grinding, painting, etc...the screen doesn't fog up. It allows for good visual while protecting eyes and respiration. The filters are easily removed and this is very easy to clean inside and out.
