    I know, it seems expensive at first but it is not. It does the job. It prevents rust. I used it on the welding joints of an exhaust pipe and so far so good. Make sure you sand the surface you are applying it to so the product adheres to it.

    We used this for the inside of our fireplace and the outer frame of the fireplace. We turned on the fireplace to cure the paint job on the inside, and I used a heat gun to cure the outer frame. The outer frame looks great, but the inside still seems to require more coats. We already used about 4 coats of it for the inside as the fire did melt off some of the first couple layers, and there are still some imperfections (see photo). It also left a very fine mist of black paint even as far as 5 feet away from the fireplace. It took hours to clean and I wish I had known how far it could overspray.

    THis was for a special project that would be heated to over 300C at times. Once metal cleaned and prepared, the job took two coats, separated by 1h with 15 min per drying stage as recommended.

    Exceptionally good paint, dries VERY flat black, and has great coverage, if applied first as a "dusting" coat before final hit. Recommended! Works superbly.

    Tremclad high heat is the better paint for exhaust snowmobile or atv system. Simply clean. Brush it and spray !
    Little tip: me I always heat with propane torch the exhaust you’ll see humidity is going to evaporate. I do that all over the remove exhaust system then I’ll spray it !!
    It will give you a nice looking and long lasting finish! You open the cab and it look clean!

    Last thing: first 15 minutes ride is going to smell paint but after that no smell.

    I try other high temp paint with horrible results paint comming off smell of burning paint for days… and I was doing the same exact preparation !??? Don’t waste your money on other brand!!

    So do yourself a gift use the good product and do it one time!!

    Tremclad is the way to go for high temp paint
