This is supposed to be an outdoor fan for gazebo which is why I ordered it in the first place but the instructions on th guide don't seem to match my installation experience. In the guide it say the fan blade are clipped in and there seems to be a piece that covers all the holes and screws in the pictures. However there was no clipping in and cover piece, I ended up screwing in the blades with the screws that were already installed. Without the cover it looks like it's in danger of taking on water when it rains even though it's under the gazebo roof. I may clip a tower over this just in case to prevent water from dripping into it. The other issue as other reviewers have already mentioned is that the cable is short! The cable is roughly 50 inches which means when I hang this in the middle of my 8 x 8ft gazebo the plug only reaches the sides of the gazebo roof and then I have to run an extension cable up the gazebo legs. In order to make it look pretty I needed to run the wire diagonally to the leg so now the plug is just sitting on the roof corner. I wish the cable was longer and that it came with the cover piece. You know when it rains it pours and sometimes water does drip in through the fabric roofing....not sure if this thing will last the summer. I do like that the fan is big though and moves a lot of air with the 3 power levels. I have no issue using the remote right underneath it.

    This is a replacement for the junk Sunlar fan I purchased for my CLAM shelter, that I only got a few uses out of before all the blades broke, including the extras they give you. Sunlar does not sell blades separately. So if they break (which they will), it renders your fan useless. So I have used this type of fan before.
    Pros:
    - 28" vs old fan which was only 19.7"
    - Phillips head screws mount blades, into metal female 'nuts' embedded in fan body. Old fan blades snapped in,
    making them prone to breakage upon removal/insertion and made it difficult to transport in RV without damage.
    - Cord comes with AC to DC converter, so you can plug into a regular cord, or configure it yourself to operate off
    common 12vdc battery directly
    - Multi speed fan with a nice little remote, fan beeps when changing speeds.
    - Fan body/blades are much higher quality construction than last fan
    - Fan can still be turned on/off, speed changed using button on top of fan near hang point, if remote batts are
    dead or something happens to remote.

    Cons:
    Stupidly short cord, will have to plug into extension cord just a few feet from fan. Extension cord with barrel
    connectors is only available if you buy fan/cord combo for an extra 5 bucks.

    I saw other reviews where a reviewer tanked the item because he was sent the wrong fan. Unfair review, that is an Â鶹Çø issue, not Bestmoument. This fan appears it will last a long time during my sporadic need for it in my CLAM shelter. The old fan it is replacing runs fine, shame that the blades were so shoddy on it and can't be purchased, thus forcing me to buy this nicer one.

    This is a GREAT little fan and TOTALLY installed in less than 15 minutes!!!! I live in FL where patios can become "little ovens" without some sort of fan. I had looked at others but this was the largest and easiest to install with very minimal damage to rental unit. Be sure to install the blades with the empossed name of product facing 'up', towards the ceiling. Otherwise, air will not circulate as it should. I hung this fan using a plastic coated plant hook in the drywall ceiling , with a platic anchor and it worked Great. I used smaller cuphooks to secure and support the electrical cord to the wall, where I attached an extension cord and ran it straight down to the wall outlet. *** You will need and extension cord because the cord included with this fan is only about 6 feet long. Also note, the fan will make a slight 'jerk' into gear when powering on/off. Some other people stated they tied the fan to the ceiling hook, but I have used for over 3 weeks now and have had no issues with the fan falling or even coming close to falling. This fan works Very Well and makes amHuge difference. I am Very pleased with its price, how well it works and is portable with Very minimal damage to property by comparrison to a regular mounted fan.

    Installed this fan yesterday. Worked first few times flawlessly. Then all of a sudden, it will work, then choose not to. Very random when it'll function as intended or not. Fan usage, like actual run time since I installed it is maybe 5 minutes....so it's still new, not abused, not worn out....possibly a defective unit.
    If it's malfunctioning as a new unit, what will happen 6 months, a year, down the road? I cannot recommend this item based on my experience.
    And the fans airflow? Unimpressive. The highest speed feels like it should be the medium speed. I almost feel like it should have a bit more oomph for good airflow. Yesterday, there was only a very slight breeze so this fan really wasn't fighting any natural wind to feel as unimpressive as it did. Hope this review gets posted and helps improve quality control.
