    For all of you who think you can do your DNA just for fun. Yes it is fun, but only if you are a genealogical researcher and don't believe everything that is written. This kit is as good as any of the other kits. To do your DNA you should start off either with this one here or with the one from Ancestry. Why? Both companies don't allow uploads. To work with DNA you need as many matches as you can get. Ancestry right now has still the largest data bank, but MyHeritage is following real quick. 23andme doesn't have the data bank, but they have a refined data bank. You can download your raw DNA from any company and uploaded to many free websites to get as many matches to work with DNA. Before you order a test you better put your head into Google and learn more how DNA works. You need to understand how it works to get the best results for yourself. Do not use it for ethnicity. Although the companies love lingering to this part of advertising. It's a disappointment, because it will not tell you who you are. You need to do that type of work for yourself and every companies ethnicity is only an estimate not a fact.
    If you want to use it to get families together this test is as good as all the others. Again, more matches better chances to find close relatives.
    Do not purchase if you expect miracles.
    You can use this kit for health analyzing as well if you upload it to a website called Promethease. You pay a few dollars and it is less expensive than getting the health kit. The health analysis are not correct and based on overall studies that may or may not fit into your life or genetic studies. If you have lots of money to spend you can use any or every kit. DNA stays the same.

    All the kits have the same description which makes it confusing to know which one to buy. So I bought this one, which only gives you your DNA connections and helps you build a tree. I had to upgrade my kit after the fact to get the health traits I was also after. The huge plus here was that I have Prime, so shipping was free, and the kit itself includes shipping back to the lab. Another huge plus is that you don’t have to pay a monthly membership fee to keep accessing all these things, unlike the other dna program that makes you pay for everything. I would highly recommend 23&me for all those reasons. I even spoke with my doctor about my results and she was very curious about it and very impressed by all the details I learned.

    I dislike the fact that I got poor results and that there's 1,500 DNA matches that are less than 5% all across the country undoubtedly other people that got scammed. This is a pyramid scheme as well as any other DNA test. All the health tests eventually tell you to go see your doctor and see if you're prone to any of the health problems. I spent $245 on this and found it to have very poor results. They try to get you to contact these relatives that don't even have your name and you're not related by DNA. Just because you share 5% doesn't mean they're relatives. It does tell you however what your line is. So far I found out I'm British and Irish which I already knew. It is useless and seeing as I'm past the 30 day refund I will probably not receive my money back. Do not fall for this gimmick because you'll be scammed and spend your money basically for nothing. Once they do the test they stretch it out so it's past the 30-day refund and of course 鶹 won't refund my money either because I've already used the product and they're refund is 30 days I think and if the products been used that would probably disqualify me I'm very dissatisfied. Look on the internet the FDA says most of this is the most prevalent scam these days. Don't buy into it. Thanks and good luck to people that try it because you won't like the results which are minimal at best. They actually ask you to get other people involved and try out their product which makes it a pyramid scam. Maybe 鶹 knows it's a pyramid scam and doesn't care.
