Thought I would try one of these toilet tank pucks, since the new "low flow" eco toilet seems to get much more dirty much quicker than my previous, decades old one. I started with one, just to give it a try, and it's been great. There was sometimes a slight chlorine smell at first, and I don't think I simply got used to it, other people don't smell anything, and neither do I when I leave the house for several hours. It might have just been the initial puck dissolve process. It's now whittled down to almost nothing, about 1.5 months after I put it in. And still no buildup, and I haven't even had to scrub my toilet bowl, it's still perfectly clean. There are also no stains on the bowl from the holes in the rim where water comes out of, which was a big problem before. So now I bought more, and will be using them regularly. Shame I have to pay extra for this, just so my landlord could get a few bucks from the government in eco credits for installing low flow everything. (Also does anyone remember the late night ads on TV for this brand back from the day?)
