  • The fibrous leaves have a very strong lemon aroma and are the source of lemongrass oil that is used to flavor candy, ice cream and pastries. Made into a tea, it can help with digestive problems
  • Lemongrass is a fragrant perennial plant that thrives in warm climates and offers a lemony flavoring to dishes. Lemongrass can grow up to 5 feet tall, either planted in pots and kept indoors in cooler climates or grown outdoors in subtropical or tropical regions.
  • Lemongrass is easy to grow from seed, requiring no special pretreatment in order to germinate 75-100 days. Lemongrass lends a fresh, fine, fragrant lemony tang with hints of ginger and mint. Adds bright, grassy, floral kick to curries, fish, shrimp, soups, stews, marinades and stir-fries. Use a ¼ teaspoon to make a refreshing tea, hot or cold. Or use in place of grated lemon rind in cookie and cake recipes. Lovely grass-like plant grows to 4 ft. in the first year.
  • KITCHEN TIP: Before adding to dishes, slice lemongrass into rings or strips and bruise segment to release the flavor. Freezes well. Plant in light weight seeds starting mix. Do not cover seeds.     I have purchased these seeds twice. The first time I tried multiple times to germinate. Soaked the seeds in water, didn’t soak them in water. Not a single seed sprouted! I did 10 pods in my seed tray both times. Second time I bought more seeds I filled a 72 pod tray multiple seeds in each pod and not one single seed sprouted. Don’t waste your money!

    Never ever order this lemon grass seeds from this company! I ordered 4 packs of seeds 200 seeds in each pack for my friends and myself. I got one small plastic bag with seeds directly from China, ( not from Russia as it was on the page), of course I did not count them but it looked not presentable. I planted seeds into special containers to sprout but ONLY 8 (eight!) germinated from 800 seeds! and they are very little now, so I am not sure that they will survive. I very recommend 鶹 to stop having any contracts with this company.
