Potassium bicarbonate is used in baking as a levelling agent and decreases the amount of sodium (instead of using sodium bicarbonate, which is baking soda). The ratio to replace sodium bicarbonate with potassium bicarbonate is 1:1. This is a good alternative for anyone looking for a low-sodium diet. This potassium bicarbonate works the same as baking soda. This potassium bicarbonate is also made in China

    This is a nice amount of pure potassium bicarbonate, good for baking and a few other uses. Nit a bad price considering the amount, and you generally don't use a lot at a time so it lasts quite long. No complaints!

    I'm using this potassium as a supplementary top-dressing fertilizer for my potatoes. I noticed that potatoes grow bigger with this supplement. Since I only have a few grow bags, 11 ounces should last me a few seasons. The price is just right for this quantity.

    This is a decent amount of potassium bicarbonate, works for a variety of uses. Mine in particular is for making water for my espresso machine. I mix up a concentrate and add it to distilled water. Straight distilled would leech from the metals on the machine, and adding any sort of calcium would add deposits. So I follow the R. Pavlis method and never need to do maintenance as far as descaling etc. Adds some Potassium to your diet too which doesn't hurt! Will use this in baking as well. A decent value for a good amount.

    I use baking soda in my baking, but wanted to try potassium bicarbonate instead. This is a food-grade product, so feel comfortable adding it to my baking.
    What I like best is that it has similar properties to baking soda. Perfect for my family as we are trying to reduce our sodium intake.
    This product is also sugar, yeast, dairy, and gluten-free.
    I understand that potassium bicarbonate has other uses, such as gardening, but I haven’t tried that yet.
    For now, I am happy using it for my baking needs.

    But I find it too expensive at $15.99 (2025-06-20) compared to similar products I’ve seen in my local stores.

    This was primarily purchased to use with plants, and while this works well, I recently discovered how well it can work in baking too! This is a good alternative to using baking soda, especially if you are trying to reduce your salt intake.

    There were no clumps in the bottle when opened. You will use this on a 1 to 1 ratio. This is a generous sized bottle. Pricing is fair, and the quality is high. There is no taste difference between this and baking soda.

    This bicarbonate sodium powder is really good. It's great for anyone cutting back on sodium and just wants a better alternative to baking soda. You can use this in drinks, cookies, cake or many other things. No yeast, dairy, or soy. It's a good value for the money.

    Can't believe how much you get for the price. It's a pretty decent size container and is also easy to use with a wide mouth.

    I've been using it both in some cooking and on my tomato plants. Tomato's should have a lot more Potassium than other plants and you can usually tell a difference within a day when you use it.

    as for with cooking I can slightly tell a difference but not enough to worry, a friend needs to watch their salt intake so I got this for when I cook for both of us. They have been happy with it and it's helped cut down on the salt. I really enjoy salt so this helps me cook with less without losing anything for myself flavor wise.

    If you are trying to avoid sodium in your diet or just want to decrease the amount of sodium this is a good alternative to use while you are baking or doing other kind of cooking. The texture is very similar to regular baking soda that contains sodium. The taste is very similar as well. I did not notice any appreciable difference using this product versus regular baking soda that you get at the grocery store. I think this is a good alternative if you are trying to lower the amount of sodium in your diet.

I don't intend to use it as a food additive, but a small amount was just as helpful for a bit of heartburn in the same way that I would use the aforementioned. Interestingly, it did a slightly more effective job as a cleanser on some tough countertop stains, so that was good to observe. I'm going to use probably a quarter of this see how it absorbs any odors in the fridge, and put it to work with whatever I can until it runs out. Pretty good value for what it is, and it's very hard to find where I live, too. Recommended!
