At first glance I thought these would do well but did a test shrink before installing any because when I assembled a set I suspected the shroud on the female connector was a millimeter or two short.
It was too short and a small gap is left at one of the joint allowing water to penetrate unless the it's wrapped in silicone tape. These won't last long in a salt water application and depending on usage may create an electrical safe risk in addition to failure risk. (See picture)
PROS:
- Good, firm connection between male/female (but haven't measured resistance with meter)
- Crimps well
CONS:
- Connection exposed when shrunk, absolutely not marine grade -3 stars for not meeting claim
- Connectors are on the thinner cheaper side
VERDICT: I'd find another product if you need complete protection from water or arcing without adding more protection
