- Reviewed in Canada on June 21, 2025These are candles made with high quality beeswax.
They give off such a beautiful scent. I have the bundle of candles (see picture) sitting on a table five feet away and I can smell the lovely aroma.
The candles burn hot and bright.
They are great for my emergency kit. Having these reliable candles gives me peace of mind.
One thing I would like to see is that the wick is more centered in the candle so that it burns more evenly. Other than that, these candles are great!

- Reviewed in Canada on January 9, 2025Verified PurchaseGreat value for these, smell is amazing and nice slow burn time 🐝✨ love and would buy again 💛
- Reviewed in Canada on July 10, 2025The media could not be loaded.
They are so lovely that I'm saving them for particularly special or sacred moments.
They arrived - in what is very clearly hand-wrapped packaging - which I so love and appreciate.
Knowing someone put love for the bees, the environment and for their craft into the creation of these makes them that much more special.
The first thing you see when you begin to open them is a sweet thank you sticker from the bees! Which is just so precious.
They are tied with natural twine and the bundle looks just darling on its own as a decor item.
I don't actually have a candle holder that is the correct size to burn these in as they are smaller in diameter than a typical taper - so I haven't yet tried lighting them/burning them - but in my experience high quality beeswax candles burn for a very, very long time.
I imagine just popping these into a cup filled with sand would work as an alternate holder, so I may try that if I can't find an appropriately sized holder.
I like that they are smaller than average taper size personally, they look more elegant, IMO.
They smell incredible - as soon as you open the box you're hit with that sweet, luscious beeswax scent - which is just intoxicating.
What I love the most is that you can tell these were made by hand, by someone who has reverence for the bees who create the wax. You can really feel that in the end product and it makes such a difference in quality.
Beautiful, love them!
- Reviewed in Canada on July 15, 2025I love the smell of beeswax candles. I'd probably wear a beeswax cologne if such a thing existed (does it exist? I may need to look into this...) The smell of these particular beeswax candles doesn't disappoint, and the natural colour and lovely packaging only add to the experience. Besides the romance that comes naturally with beeswax candles, they actually burn cleaner than paraffin candles and are better for the air quality in your home. I've even read that they can produce negative ions, which would actually help clean the air. I haven't looked closely into this to see how true it is, but it would be a nice bonus.
The mystique and charm of candles is only improved by the use of natural beeswax. I won't burn any other type of candle in my home!

- Reviewed in Canada on June 26, 2025For several years I have been making our own candles from beeswax, mostly from the wax we collect from our own bees when extracting honey. It is one of the most calming scents I can think of, at least for me. Even when not burning, just sitting on a tabletop top the wax gives off a mild scent that is so easy to recognize.
► The yellow colour and scent are natural. When bees make the comb that is used to store honey, pollen, and brood, it's mostly white the first year. In the second and subsequent years, it takes on more of a yellow colour and gets darker. The colour of wax in these candles is more like that of a comb that's been used for a couple of years.
👀 Not a well-known fact, beeswax can be eaten. It's made from the same stuff the bees gather to make honey. Just never eat too much, as it could clogging.
► Another upside to beeswax candles, besides not making any chemical pollution, is that they burn longer than other wax options when candles have the same dimensions.
In addition to collecting our own wax, I have also bought it from various sources, including the bee supply store that's local to us. It's never cheap, so the price of these candles, when I ordered, they were selling for $34.85, isn't a surprise. Due to declining bee populations, primarily caused by the use of chemicals on crops, there has been a shortage of honey and wax.
One thing about candles that's important, the wick used needs to match the width of the wax. If it's not properly matched, the wax can burn too fast or too slow, which makes the candle drip more than it burns, making a mess or burn down the center too fast, which then floods the flame, causing black soot. Making decent candles is an art.
► When the wick used is correct, the flame is a nice consistency and produces no soot; it's a nice clean burn.
All that said, these are very nice candles that have a nice scent and burn properly.
One last point here, these are made in Canada with Canadian beeswax. There may be cheaper options when candles are made with beeswax from various other countries. Support Canadian beekeepers first and get the best products.
