Finally purchased the dvd set when price went down to $70. I love this series since watching on Netflix. Was about a month wait to get it but actually got it a week early. On season 3 already and no issues with discs yet (fingers crossed). Other reviews mention difficulty getting out the discs but it’s typical for most dvds - they snap in/out. I didn’t have any issues.

    I enjoyed the series on Netflix, so I decided to purchase the series on DVD. Seasons 1 to season 5 played normally on my player (Sony UBP-X800M2). Season 6 and season 7 would only play on my computer using VLC media player. A couple of seasons 7 discs arrived damaged from shipping. Disc three of season 7 pixelated and two titles on disc four would not play at all. Disc four came badly scratched. Also, are season 6 and season 7 region coded for another region other than region A? I plan to repurchase the set once I get my refund. I think marking to package as fragile or placed in a box with packing would be a clever idea.

    While the packaging and labels are all clear, at least half the DVDs do not work - no scratches, the discs all seem fine, however the scenes are simply not playing with many scenes not showing up or the screen showing a scratchy effect. Some of the episodes seem to either be missing or listed out of order/on the wrong discs. Season 3 was playing scenes from season 4, for example.
    Unfortunately, this entire set appears to be defective.

    Fortunately, the series is innovative and captivating, and all discs seem good.
    That is the good news.

    But! although undamaged, and ingenious at conserving space, the packaging incites frustration to the point of annoyance when attempting to first open the box ( which is a puzzle in itself ) and then trying to remove the discs.
    The discs are held in place so securely that one fears to break both the discs and the attachment tabs when attempting to remove the discs.

    With gnarled perseverance, over time, I remedied the situation using a small fine file to shorten the hold down tab ends, carefully and very patiently. There are many.
    This worked and I am able to use the original holders safely rather than transferring all of the discs over to a large pile of empty plastic disc boxes.

    It would be decent of the manufacturer to get their machines to do the same out of respect and consideration for purchasers, or maybe to even try another package method.

It is so nice that it was made available on DVD. The plot of the shows is awesome. The characters are super easy to relate to even though they are so much younger than I am. It does have a fantasy aspect to it.. but there's enough realism to where I don't feel as if I am watching "a fairy tale". I found myself feeling a bit bonded to the characters and looked forward to the next in the series. Very much worth the money spent. Thank you for a wonderful set!
