    Another purchase for my wife, who pointed out that the blocks are fantastic to carve, but the provided tool was not fantastic. The larger blades seemed sharp enough but the smaller detail blades skip over the block material. I do recognize that this type of cutter probably works best on linoleum so suggested the use of an x-acto knife to carve the blocks instead, which works quite well.

    So, recommended for the blocks and consider the tool useful for linoleum carving later on.

    The cutter and knives are very cheaply made. Most knives don't fit into the cutter because they are nit properly shaped and those that do fit don't stay firmly put because the plastic handle and screw mechanism are useless.

    The linol blocks and stamp pads are ok, but not could have better be purchased on their own.
