This little sub pounds. I have it hooked up to an 1800 watt exile audio amp. For someone who is used to having two 12’s, this little 10 is awesome. I would definitely recommend it. More than enough bass for my Dakota. The only thing I don’t like is the speaker wire hookups on the box but I made it work. I’m super happy with it otherwise.

I put one of these under the rear bench in my ski boat, giving it ~250w rms from my 6-channel 2600w Rockville amp, and utilizing the low pass for the sub on channels 5/6 and the high pass for the speakers on channels 1-4. The sound quality, crispness, and how this sub/box combo can hit the tight, crisp bass notes of a country/rock song but also produce the “boom-boom” you want from a hip-hop song absolutely blew me away. Especially with how lightweight and compact it is! I decided I had to get another one for my truck. It fits perfectly behind the driver seat of my Toyota Tacoma access cab. The ease of setup from being pre-loaded in the box is a major plus. FWIW: you can run a BOSS “8 gauge” (we all know it’s not actually 8 gauge) power/ground wire as your speaker wire from the amp to sub because of how large the wire terminals are on the sub box.

First off I bought the pioneer 12” preloaded sub and that thing pounded so hard the earth was shaking around me. Unfortunately it did not fit under the back seats of my truck. I bought a set of 2 for my Silverado. I built a full pioneer system with (4) 6 1/2” door speakers, pioneer head unit, pioneer 5channel amp, and (2) of these speakers which fit perfectly under the seats of my truck without any modifications. Once I tuned the system, adjusted the amp properly these speakers were thumping. For $140 for the pair, I really like these things. So glad I went for it, although there weren’t many reviews, but pioneer always makes a good product. I highly recommend, especially if you have a truck with back seats and would like to stuff these under without modifications and have thumping bass on the cheap. P.S. you must have an amp with these, they are not amplified!

Pioneer used to be a really good brain, but I don’t know what it is now about their products. It seems that the one that I received the other day very poor quality stitching is loose income area. It has a lot of static and when the base comes through the speaker It’s very funky like you could hear boo boo boo I like the plastic breaking apart. It sounds like it’s it’s horrible. You better go with a cheaper brand.
