I am using this as a supplement and guide to the immensely intimidating Artworks variant, which uses resin and brass for nearly everything and is immensely intricate. So intricate that I cannot not build it without the extra parts and instructions from this kit.
This kit has directions, which really help, and the level of detail is surprising. There are many components here which are comparable to the detail of the more exotic product. Some are better. All are much better than those typical of other ship models. A model built straight from this kit will have the potential to look absolutely fantastic.
Kudos to Zvezda for issuing a WWI ship. With it's narrow beam, four stacks, intricate structures, and "ram" style bow (There was a time when planners envisioned ramming the opponents ships!), this model offers a fascinating and superbly executed introduction into the early days of steam and steel.
