Don't usually rate often. Had to for this set. Incredible restoration so far! Dr. No looks amazing. I'm sure the rest will be the same. Restored from the original negatives. Grain looks great. Atmos sounds so good!
Don’t listen to the people trashing this before it even came out. This set is awesome. The artwork is unique front and back of each steelbook and the case is slick. It fits the “bond” style. The gloss 007 accents on the matte finish is a really nice touch.
And the price isn’t bad realistically. $140 MSRP for 6 steelbooks comes out to just over $23 each. Thats a steel (pun intended) in 2025 when most steelbooks are $35-$55 per. Dobly atmos and Dolby vision is a huge win as well.
Go hate somewhere else. If you love bond, you’ll love this set.

I received my Connery collection box set and found that the Dr. No disk was unreadable. When I got the replacement box set, the Dr. No disk was once again unreadable. Every other disk in the collection works fine. This disk does not appear to be damaged at all so I assume it must be an issue with the formatting. Extremely disappointing because 鶹 refuses to send me another replacement and the Dr. No 4k disk is not for sale individually.

5.0 out of 5 starsAmazing upgrades - the best these movies have ever looked

These classic Bond movies look fantastic on 4k. They rescanned the original film negatives to get all the detail and great colors possible. The older blu-rays were over sharpened and some have wonky color grading. These new discs look like you are watching pristine film prints of the movies. They look amazing. If you like action movies at all, these are the ones that started it all. I think they deserve a place in any 4k collection. Highly recommend!
3.0 out of 5 starsSame quality as Blu-ray not worth the upgrade

Great if you are upgrading from VHS or DVD. There isn’t much difference between the Blu-ray version to this 4K. If it was night and day difference then it would be worth it but the most recent Blu-ray was already cleaned up and perfected. Don’t buy if you have the Blu-ray.
4.0 out of 5 starsYou only buy twice (ok, maybe three times or four).

Sean Connery’s Bond films established the template for the Bond films to follow. While there was a change with each actor and with the times, Connery set the standard. Daniel Craig’s later version returned to this harder edged Bond for his films (as with Timothy Dalton’s) indebted to these earlier films.
This set includes the six Eon films that Connery made (a pity they couldn’t have included “Never Say Never Again” even though it wasn’t an official Bond film). The 4K transfers look quite nice. This improves on the Lowry Blu-rays which looked pretty decent for their time. This is probably the best the films will ever look-there’s not much in terms of 4K detail here due to the film stock of the time but these are superior transfers. Depth, delineation, detail look exceptional for a film of this vintage. Colors look quite good. As we progress with each film, the image quality improves. HDR enhances rather giving a modern look to the presentation.
Audio is quite good with a nice, dynamic presentation for the mono presentation and a new Atmos mix for the films.
The special features from the set are rhe same as the previous Blu-rays. There’s nothing new.
Overall, this is a pleasing set with an upgraded transfer, sharp looking scans and improved audio.
